VACATION GONE WRONG....

Todd and I were supose to start our week long Todd 'n' Ali Adventure Week. We were going to bike, kite, surf and swim all over the island last week. We decided to start our adventure off at the Whistler Mountain Bike park. So, at the beginning of the week Chris, Brooke, Cat and Todd joined us up at Whistler. For Brooke and Chris, it was their FIRST time ever on their bikes.
On the last ride of the day (surprise!) Todd decided to challenge Cat's boyfriend to a friendly race down the last part of the mountain...Todd hit a nasty drop, got sick air, looked good in the air, then crashed HARD.
Needless to say, the next morning as we were heading to the ferry his injuries were worse than we had thought. His knee had swelled to the size of a small child.
Off to the hospital we go.
3 needles of freezing
1 GIANT needle for fluid extraction

We were told to stay in town for at least 48hours while they check the fluid for infection....

So, Todd and I did something we have never done. Relaxed, rented movies, slept in, walked on the seawall, drank wine with Jason & Saisha (6 bottles and 13 wine glasses to be exact), ate crepes (thanks Jason!!!), went to Whistler with Georgia, Tim, Linda & Kylan, be the support crew for my girlfriend Cat during a running race & played with our puppy...

It was the best vacation ever.

This is a post with no pictures or fancy stuff. It is a post to let some girls in my life know that they are loved, missed, appreciated, looked up too and so incredibly important to me. It has seemed to me in the last couple of months that girlfriends of mine have been going through some tough times or crossroads in their lives. To be able to watch these women live their lives and figure out new paths has been inspiring. I am truly lucky to have these women in my life and I wanted to use this forum to thank them.
Thank you for being brave, bold, daring, and courageous.
Thank you for listening.
Thank you for making me laugh.
Thank you for being open-minded.
Thank you for challenging me and my opinions or thoughts.
Thank you for "having my back"
Thank you for ALWAYS putting a smile.

I raise my glass to you ladies....you know who you are....I am so proud of your journeys and who you are.

We would like to introduce "Bear". He is brilliant, soft, snugglie and so wonderful.
He is an Australian Shepard and is 3 months old. Todd and I drove to Princeton to
get him today. We are both so happy! And he has only peed on the carpet twice...oops...make that three times !!! Fun times.

WELCOME BEAR !!!!
